Homefull: How can we help?

Mar28
During Learnapalooza we will be collecting items for Homefull that will assist in their efforts of providing a starter kit to those that they serve. What are Starter Kits? Starter Kits are a great way for individuals and groups of all kinds to contribute needed items to clients of Homefull who are moving from homelessness into housing. Clients moving out of the shelter system typically have very few possessions, and definitely don’t have all the items they need to make a fresh start in a new home. Many of the items can even be purchased at a dollar store, so these donations are affordable. Homefull will ensure that they go to individuals and families who have begun their journey to self-sufficiency in their own housing. A list of these items is provided below. There will be barrels marked at the event where you can drop off your donation. Donate items from Homefull’s Starter Kit Wish List: Cleaning supplies Laundry detergent and fabric softener Personal hygiene items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, men’s and women’s razors and shaving cream, etc.) Toilet paper, tissues, and paper towels Non-perishable food Silverware, dishes, and pots & pans Bath towels and bed linens For more information on Starter Kits, please visit Homefull’s website HERE.
