In Search of Presenters!

In Search of Presenters!

This year’s event will be held on Friday, October 11th, at the Sinclair Conference Center in Dayton. Are you interested in presenting this year? Complete the presenter application or contact Chris Yuppa for more information

Presentation Guidelines

  • First and foremost HAVE FUN!
  • All presentations must use PowerPoint including a title page, team or individual introduction, and an agenda/outline.
  • Presentations should be 20 minutes in length. This will leave you with 10 minutes for Q/A.

Presentation Tips

  • Start your presentation with a hook. Explain the importance or the outcome you achieved first and then in go into detail about how you got there.
  • Keep text to a minimum and split long bulleted lists into multiple slides, if possible. If you’d like to include additional detail that doesn’t fit into the slides, you can create supplemental materials that can be linked from the Learnapalooza website.
  • Because most presentations take place in large rooms, we suggest 32pt fonts (at a minimum) with special attention given to adequate contrast. Colored fonts on a colored background can be tough to read. Red text and yellow text are particularly difficult.
  • Ensure that screenshots do not contain Personal Health Information (PHI).
  • Consider including a slide at the end with your contact information.
  • Reach out to the Learnapalooza Core Team to schedule a practice session for your presentation. Invite your co-workers or friends to gather feedback and to make sure you’re not going over 20 minutes.

Offer a “backstage pass” after the event. The Learnapalooza Core Team can help you set these up and they will be posted on the Learnapalooza websites event calendar.

I would be happy to help “launch” with a devotional thought – should be outta this world!!

For the first time in history we have five generations working together.

I would be interested in presenting a topic on Intergenerational Teams, and how to recognize each other’s strengths and learning styles to encourage collaboration.

Let me know if there’s an interest.

      Hi Lisa,
Sounds like an interesting topic. Would you mind submitting the idea here on our site? Click Event Info at the top of the screen and select Become a Presenter. This is the best way to submit presentation topics for consideration.
      Thanks!!
